Are there any particular colours or patterns to avoid?

When it comes to colours and patterns, it is a question about the elements. Such as Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water. These elements are related to the space, it's environment and the personality of the person. For example, a kitchen shouldn't be blue because there is too much water element in it. However in one of my Instagram posts, I showed an example of a blue kitchen balanced out by earth tones. Interior designers inherently know how to harness the ideas behind the elements without knowing, because of their innate ability to match colours and textures.

You must have noticed my very 'soft' approach to feng shui and its application. I feel that it is important to recognise that the world is changing, people and cultures are different, and we should embrace it. Only by acknowledging that everyone is different, feng shui and its principles can truly be helpful.

It's so important to adapt ancient wisdom to modern living. The idea of balancing elements with colors is so cool – that blue kitchen example is genius! Have you ever considered how ceiling fans play into this? A harbor breeze fan can really enhance the energy of a room. Keep up the awesome work!
